He graduated from Walhalla High School in the class of 1950, and from the Citidel in 1954, the same year he would marry. He would go on to become a member of the United States Army, and later a Captain in the National Guard. On December 25, 2005 Paul Brown's car would become submerged in 12 to 15 feet of water in Lake Keowee, and wouldn't be discovered till the 28th. [2]

During his political career Mr. Brown would become a long time member of the City Council, President of the Chamber of Commerce, revive the Oktoberfest, and serve two terms as Mayor of Walhalla, and become a member of he Board of Directors for Oconee Federal Savings and Loans for over 27 years. [1] On December 25, 2005 Paul Brown's car would become submerged in 12 to 15 feet of water in Lake Keowee, and wouldn't be discovered till the 28th. [2]
