Clement Joseph Gareau (born 1945 in Verner, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian contemporary violin maker. Gareau apprenticed in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada under Bill Williams, a Canadian Violin Maker. He enjoyed restoring violins and was quite adroit. He made a limited number of violins. One of his violin examined, was arched in the Bergonzi fashion and had a golden-yellow underlay and an antique golden-brown colour. Another one of his violin examined, was arched in the Stradivarii fashion and had a golden-yellow underlay and an antique orange-brown colour. They were valued in the $6000 range in 2008.
