His education included administration, diplomacy, statecraft and military command. At the age of 25, he became a Duke, inheriting his family estate on Isen, as well as a level of responsibility in Shun's administration and Force hierarchy. His wife, children and grandchildren died in the Isen Civil War. During the course of the Bandit Kingdoms interregnum, Duke Phelleps lived as a fugitive guerrilla in the mountains of Isen. When Jade and Sandian forces conquered the sector, Ror threw his lot in with them. He returned to the Light Side and was one of the first Patriots; joining the Jade Empire Armed Forces, he eventually became a member of the elite Household Guard, though only after passing physical fitness tests that would cripple most men half his age. He was outfitted with the ComTac implant. He was assigned to the Empress' protective detail during her trip to Kro Var. Some time later, he was permitted to go on extended leave as a semi-formal Patriot representative to the Temple of the Current.
