Blish witnessed an attack on a boy on Graxos III by Karu-Sil and three beasts. Thinking that Karu-Sil was also being attacked, he killed the beasts and brought her to Graxos IV to be institutionalized. After his death, his ring passed to Arisia, the teenaged daughter of his predecessor.
