Synopsis
  • In this reality, Krypton was destroyed approximately a millennia before it was in our universe, resulting in Kal-El being sent to Earth in the Middle Ages rather than the twentieth century. Having been taken in by farmers who saw the crash, Kal went on to become a blacksmith after his strength was witnessed by a friend of his father's, resulting in him eventually attracting the attention of Lady Loisse- the daughter of the local village's former protector- after he fought in a local tournament organized by the oppressive Baron Luthor. When Kal's ship was discovered by Baron Luthor, he insisted that a suit of armour be made for him from its metal. Having forged the armour, Kal asked for Loisse's hand in marriage as his reward, but after the marriage Luthor invoked an old rule that permitted him to take any lady to his bed on her wedding night, with Kal unable to fight Luthor due to Luthor wearing a kryptonite gemstone he acquired after Kal's ship landed. Waking up next morning, Kal learns that Luthor has beaten Loisse to death while attempting to rape her, prompting him to take up a sword and lead a revolt against Luthor. Even after being doused in burning oil as he enters Luthor's castle, Kal continues unharmed- the oil having only destroyed his clothes without harming him-, engaging Luthor in battle. Although Luthor manages to stab Kal with his gemstone, Kal simultaneously kills Luthor with his sword when Luthor leaps on to him. Unable to do anything for him, his allies help to ease Kal's passing, before burying him in the river alongside Loisse.
