abstract
| - As its namesake suggested, defense outpost Shield was one of two stations commissioned by the Shadow Imperium to serve as a lookout for incoming forces; friendly, hostile, and neutral. Shield was fully operational with the aid of a single Star Destroyer to protect this vulnerable position in the vacinity of Imperium space. While most occurrances happened to be along the lines of pirate raids and smuggling runs, the Imperium refused to take any chances, and would usually engage any unauthorized entry of space and either capture or destroy the intruders of this quadrant. When Darth Trayus conquered the Imperium and turned it into the Crimson Empire, he retained the station's purpose, seeing it as a useful asset that faced the same circumstances as its sister station, Jubilee.
