Lilly Durona Junior was the clone of a clone. Lotus Durona, a clone of the original Lilly Durona, had defected from the Durona Group in return for near co-control of House Bharaputra. As Lotus grew old, she decided to have herself cloned for a clone-brain transplant. As a vicarious revenge against her mother/sister, she named the child Lilly so that she could kill her mother/sister by proxy. Lilly Junior fled with the rest of her new-found family to Escobar.

  • Lilly Durona Junior was the clone of a clone. Lotus Durona, a clone of the original Lilly Durona, had defected from the Durona Group in return for near co-control of House Bharaputra. As Lotus grew old, she decided to have herself cloned for a clone-brain transplant. As a vicarious revenge against her mother/sister, she named the child Lilly so that she could kill her mother/sister by proxy. Lilly Junior learned of her intended fate while young. Rather than fight it, however, she believed it to be her destiny to be "united" with her lady; Lotus had convinced her this was an honorable and heroic death. Lily was so emotionally invested in her 'destiny' that she successfully managed her own escape from the Dendarii after being snatched with the other clones in the target creche. But later, at another Bharaputra station, she spent a day alone with Miles Vorkosigan, who convinced her Lotus was a 'false destiny' and she should escape and join up with her "grandmother", Lilly Durona. Lilly Junior fled with the rest of her new-found family to Escobar.
