The Farmville murders took place in the small college town of Farmville, Virginia in 2009, where four people were murdered. On September 19, 2009, police arrested 20-year-old amateur horrorcore rapper and graphic designer Richard Alden Samuel McCroskey III, also known as "Syko Sam", on suspicion of killing Mark Neiderbrock, a pastor at a Presbyterian church in central Virginia. Niederbrock's body was found along with three others at the scene. On Septmeber 20, 2010 McCrosky pleaded guilty to the killings. He is currently serving a life sentence in Sussex I State Prison in Waverly, Virginia.
