Considers himself a liability to the Autobots since he's slow and consumes the most fuel. Makes up for lack of self-esteem by acting as a practical joker and cheerleader for the others, and makes light of any situation, no matter how serious. Often mopes about his handicaps, but his bravery and defensive prowess is unquestioned. Projects nearly invisible force field... can jam radio transmissions. Very slow.

  • Trailbreaker was portrayed as a light-hearted joker, who often acted a morale booster for his comrades. Deep down, however, he considers himself a liability due to his high fuel consumption. Because of this he has a low sense of self-worth, he often asks to be left out of missions. Despite this, the other Autobots know he is a valuable addition to their ranks.
  • Trailbreaker was among the Transformers discovered on Earth by Cobra, and reworked into a Stinger. The Transformers were eventually freed, and the Autobots fought both their Decepticon enemies and their Cobra oppressors. During the battle, Trailbreaker and several other Autobots located Cobra Commander and tried to capture him, but he was protected by Cobra troops in robotic S.N.A.K.E. suits. Unfortunately, the Autobots underestimated their human opponents, and Trailbreaker was decapitated by Storm Shadow during the battle. G.I. Joe vs. the Transformers #5

He'll make light of anything, no matter how dire the situation, and has been known to cross the optic circuits of Huffer while he's in his rest mode. Even Huffer laughed at that one. He's the Autobot cheerleader. But there's a darker side to Trailbreaker. He is the most fuel-consuming Autobot and thus believes he is a liability to the group. He often has volunteered to be left behind in battle situations rather than use up precious resources. His lack of self-esteem is apparent to Autobot Leader Optimus Prime, who continually reassures him of his value.

He's a good-humored mech that's always ready with a joke or comment to lighten the situation and cheer his fellow Autobots up, no matter how grim the situation may be. "Looks like some robo-buzzards lost their nest!" would be his response to a Decepticon aerial attack. But the lighthearted nature also hides his own issues; Trailbreaker often feels he is a liability the Autobot's resources due to his slow vehicle mode and high rate of fuel consumption. • "Looks like some pigeonoids can't find their nest." That's how Trailbreaker describes a full-scale attack by a battalion of flying Decepticons. He'll make light of anything, no matter how dire the situation, and has been known to cross the optic circuits of Huffer while he's in his rest mode. Even Huffer laughed at that one. He often has volunteered to be left behind in battle situations rather than use up precious resources. His lack of self-esteem is apparent to Autobot Leader Optimus Prime, who continually reassures him of his value. Trailbreaker's force-field projector can create an invisible barrier with up to a 30-foot radius that withstands penetration by all forms of projectiles, all wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation except those of extremely high intensity, and temperatures as high as 800,000 degrees Centigrade. However, a sustained assault on the force-field, if strong enough, can eventually weaken and destroy it. Trailbreaker also wears a radio-jamming broadcaster. He can transmit signals on 64 frequencies simultaneously and often uses it to jam enemy attempts at stopping Autobot communications. His high fuel consumption and slowness of movement make Trailbreaker particularly vulnerable in certain situations. He'll often mope about his handicaps and forget about his responsibilities as a consequence. But his bravery and defensive prowess are unquestioned, and he can usually recover his wits in time to save himself and his comrades.

Trailbreaker is strong and durable even without it, though his weaponry is not very powerful. Armed with a shoulder cannon and laser gun in place of his left hand; also equipped with a multi-frequency scrambler to jam enemy radio and sensor signals. Transforms into a cybertronian truck, that although very slow is able to travel off-road with relative ease.
