Hall is best known to MST3K fans for his work in writing, directing, and acting in the 1962 movie Eegah, which starred Richard Kiel in the title role. Because of the overly familiar nature of the scenes featuring Hall and the actress who played Roxy (Marilyn Manning), there has been some speculation about the nature of their relationship off camera. Hall died in Los Angeles from a heart attack in 1978. He was given a Sioux funeral with full honors, and buried in Phillip, South Dakota.
