Conor Ryan (born 1973 in Wythenshawe, Manchester) appeared on Coronation Street in two roles: PC King in March 1995 and then the better-remembered role of Len Windass from November 2008 until August 2009. Prior to entering the acting profession, Conor was a psychiatric nurse at Withington Hospital for several years and is a prolific fundraiser for UK charity Leukaemia Research. Sadly, both of Conor's parents died in the year before he landed the role of Len Windass, but as a fitting tribute he was able to wear his dad's sheepskin coat throughout his time on the show.

He performed John Lennon's "Happy Xmas/war is over" backed by a full choir and orchestra to a sold-out crowd in aid of Leukaemia Research.
