Rufftoon, real name Johane Matte, was formerly a storyboarder and comic artist for Avatar: The Last Airbender and currently works for Dreamworks Animation Studios (How to Train Your Dragon and Rise Of The Guardians). She gained a fan following online when she began drawing humourous mini comic strips based on Avatar. However, what earned her internet fame amongst the fandom was her epic Alternate Reality Fan Web Comic, Water Tribe which introduces the idea of Zhao surviving his ordeal at the North Pole and living amongst the Water Tribe afterward.
