  • Corby is the former scribe of Sir Cabirus. Corby was still a young man when Sir Cabirus selected him as his scribe in the Abyssal colony. He held this position until Sir Cabirus' death. Shortly afterwards, the colony broke up and he was locked in with the others, when it was declared to be a prison from then on. Years later, the Avatar met him in Ultima Underworld I. Corby gave the hero advice about the eight talismans, but had clearly become bitter over what had happened to Sir Cabirus' dreams. Garamon finally rescued him, along with the other settlers, when the Abyss erupted, destroying the colony.
