Just over ten years later, she was heard in the parent programme as Mrs Thompson, a woman who Tricia Hopkins spoke to when she worked in telesales in October 1975. Her other credits (mainly for Granada Television) include The Villains (produced by H.V. Kershaw), The Man in Room 17 and Crown Court. For the BBC, she appeared in Emil and the Detectives and several radio plays including the original 1958 production of June Evening which has been touted by some as an influence on the concept of Coronation Street, though Tony Warren has denied this. In this production, she appeared alongside Jack Howarth, Violet Carson and Alan Rothwell. She provided voices for the Granada current affairs series What The Papers Say working with Daphne Oxenford and her husband Peter Mullings who was the director.
