  • Marina McBain is an African American detective who works for the Missing Persons Division of they NYP. She lives in the Bronx and previously helped John Winchester take down a small dragon at least a decade before the events of Nevermore. Because she knew their father, McBainrecognizes both Sam and Dean. She is also part of a secret network of cops that know the truth including Detective Diana Ballard from Baltimore. McBain aids the Winchesters with the murders connected to the works of Edgar Allan Poe. McBain, being a Missing Persons detective, also helps the Winchesters with their investigation into a Banshee, helping them identify the ghost and then calling her fellow officers in to recover the body and arrest the killer once he is identified by the Winchesters. The Winchesters are able to help her take down the serial killer committing the murders connected to Edgar Allan Poe and before they leave, she gives them a file on a case near the Grand Canyon. Later, as McBain works on the paperwork connected to the murders, she is harassed by Special Agent Victor Henriksen about the Winchesters before her boss sends him away.
