Her studio provides day-to-day oversight in managing internal, external and online advertising and marketing campaigns. Companies whose branding and marketing strategies she has helped shape: Adchem Corporation, Air It Out Passing Academy, Arts Guide Portland, Britches of Georgetown, Dream Windows & Interiors, Elizabeth Moss Gallery, Empire State Cellars, Ford Motor Company, Gloria Vanderbilt, Jiffy Lube, Kim Folks Events, Lipton Sports, Melmar Enterprises, Peconic Bay Winery, Port City Life Magazine, Portland Downtown District, Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, Wilsons Leather and of course, Tommy Hilfiger. Hackett has worked alongside CEOs David Pensky, Joel Horowitz, Mohan Murjani, Joel Waller, and Hubert M. Tibbetts. She first met Tibbetts, of Lipton Tea in 1985. Hackett was part of the team, along with Gerald Boycks, Fred Lieberman, John Korff, Jeannie Ford and Chris Everett that brought Lipton to the table for its first professional tennis sponsorship. She spearheaded the first projects of the sports marketing organization, Lipton Sports Inc. and created the intial branding and for “The Lipton”, (now the Nasdaq 100) and dozens of other partnerships in tennis. Hackett designed and art directed the 300 page magazine ProTennis Magazine alongside legendary photographer and Olympics producer, Robert Riger. She worked for advertising icon, George Lois and with him developed the initial logo and branding for Tommy Hilfiger. It was then CEO, Joel Horowitz that invited Hackett to join the Hilfiger family creating branding and iconic advertising. She has marketed for major retail clothing chains and destination cities. Hackett was the marketing director of advertising and brand management overseeing all Wilsons divisions. She created the Wilsons Weathergard brand in partnership with 3M. She also assumed the management of Visual Merchandising and Exhibits. She was instrumental in store design and was on the team that created the flagship, Mall of America store for Wilsons Leather. Hackett has a history of bringing together diverse factions and creating unified partnerships in marketing and operations. In her role as Creative Director, she was responsible for driving the strategic marketing direction for each property, defining goals and meeting ROI standards. Hackett joined Britches as Vice President, advertising and marketing where her first assignment was the positioning, marketing and promotion of Britches Great Outdoors brands. She was charged with and succeeded in bringing about profitability in the mens fine clothing division, Britches of Georgetown, with proven results in her direct marketing campaigns. She played in instrumental role in the development of the slogan, “Clothing for Life.” Her campaigns for Wilsons and Britches won the top retail advertising award “the RACIE” for three consecutive years. She concepted and financed the Farmhouse Restaurant and owned and operated it for seven years. The restaurant won Dans Papers, Best Restaurant in the Hamptons for five consecutive years. In 2003, Hackett earned her MFA at Maine College of Art where she double majored in Painting and Critical Theory. She joined Port City Life magazine as Art Director and in a mere six months turned aroud the publications profitability. She founded the Arts Guide Portland and re-branded the city’s downtown district. She earned a BFA from Southampton College where she studied fine art, color theory and the history of art and design. Before that, Hackett earned degrees from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Commercial Illustration and Advertising & Typography Design.
