| - Star Wars: Knights of the New Republic is a Star Wars roleplaying game set in the year 23 ABY. We play via OpenRPG+, meeting on the server OpenRPG Veav 1 every Sunday at 6 PM, EST. We use the Saga Edition of the Star Wars RPG as published by Wizards of the Coast. The players are being cast as members of the New Jedi Order led by Jedi Master Luke Skywalker, based on Yavin IV. This is currently a good time for new players to bring characters in, as the group has returned to the Jedi Praxeum after the first story arc took place on Tatooine. Several players have gone missing: we need two more players. The game has so far featured a rather combat-heavy mix, which I am trying to lighten up somewhat, and is highly-tuned towards having very powerful player characters going through hordes of bad guy mooks. The game is tund to feature a lot of starship action as well as ground action.
* Currently in the storyline, the player group has four ships: the Phoenix Sunrise, a Dynamic-class freighter, two MandalMotors Nexu, and a MandalMotors Reek. Two of the players are crew of the freighter, one took a Nexu, leaving a Nexu and a Reek between the newbies and the one person who has yet to speak for a ship. If you'd rather not pilot these, you can have whatever you can afford. The game time is currently set between the end of the Shadow Academy (Second Imperium) Crisis, before the Diversity Alliance crisis has a chance to kick off. The Jedi Temple was damaged heavily in the Shadow Academy attack, and the Jedi are rebuilding, but it's going slow, especially since the Republic cut funding after the election of Borsk Fey'lya.
