A parabolic mirror was a curved reflective device with a parabola-shaped cross-section. In 2372, the USS Voyager crew used parabolic mirrors to enlarge the images projected by holoemitters mounted along the hull, in order to create holograms of Talaxian ships. (VOY: "Basics, Part I")
