  • Joe McUsic is a character portrayed by Jesse Hlubik in the ABC crime series Castle. Joe McUsic was an ex-con and the owner of a halfway house for former convicts, recognising that everyone deserved a second chance. However, he was described as still being willing to acknowledge that a person could only receive so many chances if it was confirmed that they would never change. McUsic arranged to serve as a juror on the trial of Otis Williams for the death of Lyla Addison, because he discovered that his brother had actually been indirectly involved in Lyla's death. Not wanting to actually reveal his brother's role in the crime, he had intended to cast 'reasonable doubt' on the evidence implicating Williams, but was murdered before the trail was concluded, although the subsequent investigation into Joe's reasons for being on the jury led to Otis's acquittal anyway.
