Fort Ironhide, also known as the Iron Hill, was a castle in the Northlands during Dragonhollow's Third Era. It was built by and served as the primary residence of FlyingPokemon. Fort Ironhide was built at the border of the Northlands where a sprawling savannah met desert, not far from where Eris had placed a magical barrier that encircled the entire region. Perched upon several hills of different heights, the fortress served a strategically important role during the Northham Wars. It was next to Zen's Nirvana estate.

  • Fort Ironhide, also known as the Iron Hill, was a castle in the Northlands during Dragonhollow's Third Era. It was guarded by the Iron Army, a force of iron golems who served as always vigilant sentinels. Poke envisioned the castle as a defensible stronghold against the marauding Dragonslayers whose armies dominated the world, specifically mentioning Spud's rampages as a driving force behind its design. On 3E:45, he invited his fellow citizens out for a tour of the construction and asked them for advice and recommendations. Tox, Nut, and Zen accepted the invitation. Poke was startled when Tox was able to gain entrance without using the front gate and he made several suggestions on how the fortress could be made more secure. After the Dragonslayers attacked Nirvana under the direction of HyperSilence and Zen sought refuge with Tox and Cary in Golden Glen, Poke stayed behind as a caretaker of sorts even as the area became increasingly lifeless and forsaken. Eventually, the Dragonslayers returned to storm Iron Hill. Spud deployed his siege towers and bombarded its walls with sand and fiery arrows. Knowing it was only a matter of time before they gained entry, Poke made the unfortunate decision to abandon the castle for the time being and fled to the seeming security of Zen's Arboretum where he was slain soon thereafter. When he was chosen by Eris to become one of her Priests, he left Ironhide to become more active in the community near Northham. Like the rest of the Northlands, Fort Ironhide was abandoned at the close of the Third Era.
