Fury for Another is a hardcore/Skate Punk band from Hughesville, Maryland. If you were to ask Jason Powell the singer/ guitarist of Fury For Another why the band started he would say, "we started Fury For Another to have some fun". "We would all go to see a show or spend the whole day skating together. Andy had a set of drums in his basement, I had been playing guitar for years, and Sharie had a bass. Playing music together just pretty much became part of what we did as friends".

Before long, playing in the basement was not enough and the band began to write their own original songs and wanted to start playing out. The three piece headed into the studio with their friend [Brain McTernan] at the helm and recorded the 12 tracks that are now their debut CD on [Smorgasbord Records]. The recording carries the feelings of friendship, harmony, and just plain fun all with the spirit of classic old school hardcore. Long time friend and writing mate Andy was able to rehearse and record the CD, but was not able to be around as a permanent drummer. Now with a new drummer in his seat, Fury For Another are set to work on and build upon the foundations they've already laid out. Their goals for the coming year are to continue to play out in support of the new CD, write new material, and most importantly stick to their tradition of fun and friendship. Fury For Another is positive, fast, loud, old school hardcore that the DC scene is quickly embracing. Their raw crunching harmonies, tuneful energy, and aggressive live shows bound them towards inevitable success. Vocalist/Guitarist Jason Powell describes Fury for Another's history this way: "Fury for Another was my girlfriend/wife Sharie on bass, myself on guitar and vocals and Andy Hanbury on drums. We started off as a basement just for fun kind of band - we'd go skate somewhere and go play Black Flag and Circle Jerks covers in Andy's basement. But later Andy's folks got a divorce and we started doing it a little more serious to take his mind off stuff." "Jon Hennessee got us on the bill for a benefit show that was going to have [Rain On the Parade], [Time Flies], [For the Living] and others, but the show was rescheduled and Andy moved with his mom to [California] later that month. We went to visit Andy and we booked a couple shows just for fun over there in [Paso Robles] and outside [Oakland]. And then when Andy came back over to visit us in [Maryland], we recorded over at the DC house on Longfellow Street where Brian had just moved his studio to. [Jeff Terranova] (who runs Smorgasbord now) was interested in putting it out. We managed to play a couple of shows with Andy (he had moved to Florida and actually traveled up to play) but after a show with [Agent Orange] got canceled (after he drove up to play) we asked if it would be cool to get another drummer. We played out at various shows following the release of the cd for about a year and a half, and had fun until Andy moved back to MD, asked back in, then played one show and then left town and moved away without any notice, so we broke up."
