Ken Palpatine was the grandson of Emperor Palpatine, who eventually became the Galactic Emperor himself. Born on Kessel in 7 BBY, he was taken to be raised on Yavin 4 in the Lost City of the Jedi. Ken initially lived a solitary life there and was raised by droids, before being discovered by Kadann, the Supreme Prophet of the Prophets of the Dark Side. He managed to sway Ken to his side by promising him power, in the form of taking the throne that his grandfather once held. Following the death of Trioculus, a claimant to the throne, in 5 ABY, Supreme Prophet Kadann announced the existence of Ken to the rest of the Empire, and brought him to Coruscant.
