- Lego The Hobbit is a video game based on the three upcoming movies by Peter Jackson and a sequal to LEGO The Lord of the Rings Video Game. It follows the story of a hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, going on an adventure with dwarf prince, Thorin Oakinsheild, and his company of dwarves, to recalm there home from the dragon Smaug.
- The Hobbit is a prequel of sorts to The Lord of the Rings, or at least, that is how it seems today. At the time when LotR was being written, the new book (which went by various titles) was the sequel to The Hobbit; The Hobbit has since been eclipsed by its far more famous (and longer) sequel. The two books form a sequel (of sorts) to the Silmarillion mythos; however, The Hobbit was not originally intended to be set in the same world as the Silmarillion tales, but simply borrowed some of the language to give the novel more depth, leading to some unresolved inconsistencies between the two.

- The Hobbit is a fantasy novel written by J.R.R. Tolkien originally as a children's story in the tradition of the fairy tale. It was first published on 21 September 1937, and is now seen as a prelude to Tolkien's more monumental work The Lord of the Rings (published in 1954 and 1955.) The story, subtitled "There and Back Again", follows the adventures of the hobbit Bilbo Baggins as he travels across the lands of Middle-earth with a band of Dwarves and a wizard named Gandalf on a quest to restore a dwarven kingdom and a great treasure stolen by the dragon, Smaug.
- Much as The Robots of Death and Blake's 7 both ended up as prequels to Kaldor City even though they aren't related to each other, The Manlet and Sil Marillion both ended up as prequels to Lord of the Rings even though they aren't related to each other. Since The Manlet is a short children's adventure book rather than an epic trilogy, Peter Jackson adapted it into three movies that are maybe a few minutes shorter than the Lord of the Rings ones.
- The Hobbit ist eine Unterbaureihe von The Lord of the Rings und ist ein lizenziertes Thema, für das die ersten Baukästen im Dezember 2012 erschienen sind, vor der Filmpremiere des ersten Filmes.

- You may also be aware that Wingnut Films has bought a lawsuit against New Line, which resulted from an audit we undertook on part of the income of The Fellowship of the Ring. Our attitude with the lawsuit has always been that since it’s largely based on differences of opinion about the legality of certain accounting practices (who knew that Enron's minions had reached so far?), we would like an independent body — whether it be a judge, a jury, or executioner, to look at the issues and make an unbiased ruling. We are happy to accept whatever that ruling is, provided that it's entirely favourable to our interests. In our minds, it’s not much more complex than that, and that’s exactly why film contracts include right-to-audit clauses.
- The Hobbit, or There and Back Again is a story for children written by J.R.R. Tolkien in the tradition of the fairy tale. Tolkien wrote the story in the late 1920s initially to amuse his three sons. It was first published on September 21, 1937 to wide critical acclaim.
- The Hobbit would have served as a prequel to The Lord of the Rings (and we all know how good those turn out) if it hadn't been published before the aforementioned The Lord of the Rings. In fact, The Lord of the Rings acts as a sequel to The Hobbit, although with Peter Jackson completely screwing up the order of their film adaptations, confusion about this matter remains rampant. While many elements of the novel remain obviously stolen from other works, its story has managed and still manages to captivate people. Usually the feeble-minded ones.
- Tolkien introduced or mentioned characters and places that figured prominently in his legendarium, specifically Elrond and Gondolin, along with elements from Germanic legend. But the decision that the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings could belong the same universe as The Silmarillion was made only after his initial success and the request by his publisher for a sequel.
