  • Vikema is a city in Kostate Province of Helsink on eastern shore of Vanto River, just opposite to the provincial capital, Fenkava. Vikema has profited from hydroelectric plants in the river, albeit less than Fenkava. The geographical form of the city-municipality is thin, stretched along the river but limited in thickness by hills and mountains in the east. The southern part of the municipality borders the Fenkava Bay of eastern Baltic Ocean; it has beaches with thriving tourism. The southern part is cut with Seunes Canal from the mainland, where urban sprawl starts. There is even one skyscraper in the part of the municipality being opposite Fenkava Island, in the northern part there are less densely built residential areas.
