Seyyal Taner is a Turkish singer and actress. She began vocal training in 1965 and in 1968 she played a small part in the film Villa Rides starring Yul Brynner and Robert Mitchum. Backed by the group Lokomotif, she represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest 1987 in Brussels with the song Şarkım Sevgi Üstüne. Prior to the contest, Seyyal had boasted to a radio DJ that the song would win, but in the end it finished last with the dreaded Nul Points, the second time in 4 years that a Turkish entry had failed to score.
