| - A magebomb is technique used to kill players. This is somtimes considered a method of scamming someone for items, but is usually just used to kill players. Magebombs are sometimes used to kill a specific player by luring them to a spot where many or high level mages have logged-out. Once in the spot, the person luring will notify the other mages somehow, and they will login and kill the target, using the element of suprise. To express the serious nature of this update, CipSoft also deleted about 800 accounts that were involved in "magebomb" attacks.

Once in the spot, the person luring will notify the other mages somehow, and they will login and kill the target, using the element of suprise. Sometimes people will setup a magebomb in a high-traffic location. In this case, someone will act as lookout and tell the other players when some random player is in the target zone. They will then login and kill the person. In general cases a magebomb is not against the Tibia Rules, however recently a wellknown bot has added a magebomb to their software, which instantly logs in more then one character and performs the attack. The bot of the magebomb was invented by Pandemonium, a guild on Dolera. This is explicitly against Tibia Rules. Since a minor patch on November 9, 2006, all players must wait 10 seconds after logging in before they can attack another player, unless they are attacked and need to defend themselves.
