The F-15K shares most of its abilities and performance with the Strike Eagle. It was designed to be easier to maintain and to have a better survivabilty. The fuselage and wings are made by Korea Aerospace Industries. In 2002 the F-15K was chosen for the F-X program by the ROKAF, in which it prevailed against the Dassault Rafale, the Su-35 and the Eurofighter. 50 F-15K´s are currently in service with the Republic of Korea Air Force.
