So...we need to decide on a basic hierarchy for this. If someone wants to outline it's parent category, and child categories that'd be great. I'll do it if noone comes up with something in a little while. Mason11987 19:57, 19 October 2006 (UTC) While categorizing, if you find a duplicate, categorize it anyway, do not delete it and do not request for its deletion. I'm gonna manually go trough everything, sorting the pictures, their names and the articles they are located in. So I'll delete duplicates, when I'm sure everything is working properly. --Hecko X 02:14, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

By game, and then we divide by character, summon, weapon, item, enemy/monster, artwork, etc. Then again, there are some instances where I don't think this'll work. --Hecko X 20:31, 19 October 2006 (UTC) So... where do we stand on this? --Hecko X 19:57, 21 October 2006 (UTC) If I understand what is being discussed here, if this is even necissary, and the idea is not without merits, the suggestion to do it by game and then by type within the game seems most logical. * Category: Images * Category: Final Fantasy I Images * Category: Final Fantasy II Images * . . . * Category: Final Fantasy XI Images * Category: Final Fantasy XI Character Images * Category: Final Fantasy XI Summon Images * Category: Final Fantasy XI Weapons Images * Category: Final Fantasy XI Items Images (God wouldn't this be fun) * Category: Final Fantasy XI Enemies Images * Category: Final Fantasy XI Location Images * Category: Final Fantasy XI Artwork Images * Final Fantasy XII Images * Final Fantasy XIII Images * . . . Yes? --TacticAngel 20:41, 21 October 2006 (UTC) Yup, that's what I had in mind. Nice setup by the way. --Hecko X 20:54, 21 October 2006 (UTC) Does anyone else notice that this is in the main namespace? Crazyswordsman 23:12, 21 October 2006 (UTC) I don't even know what the main namespace is at this point in the evening. --TacticAngel 07:27, 24 October 2006 (UTC) I fixed it. Crazyswordsman 16:12, 24 October 2006 (UTC) Ok, another thought. I think should also be linked to and obviously the other games with the other categories. Thoughts? --TacticAngel 04:57, 26 October 2006 (UTC) Whatever floats your boat. Crazyswordsman 05:53, 26 October 2006 (UTC) I think it's somewhat unnecessary, but then again, better safe than sorry, so go right ahead. --Hecko X 06:30, 26 October 2006 (UTC) Thats amusing... whatever floats my boat. This wasn't even my baby. --TacticAngel 00:45, 27 October 2006 (UTC) While categorizing, if you find a duplicate, categorize it anyway, do not delete it and do not request for its deletion. Principle of everything is the same, but... in stead of categorizing a picture as e.g. "", categorize it as "" (regardless of what enemy is, as long as it's from FFVII). This will allow me to manually create a gallery in "", where I will have full control of name, text and link. This will allow better sorting and make sure that people easily can check if the picture, they were about to upload, or were searching for, already exist. If the gallery is not manually created, it will be sorted by upload name, which won't be very effective. As a short example, if we make it so I can manually creat the Gallery "Image:160px-Final Fantasy III US Wedge talks.png" could be called "Wedge Talks" and be sorted under W in stead of 0-9. --Hecko X 02:35, 28 October 2006 (UTC) Um... sure. You can do it. (O.O ) I'll just stand over here until I figure out what all that means.--TacticAngel 20:39, 28 October 2006 (UTC) Making this change will allow me to turn this into . --Hecko X 21:30, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
