The Mirak carrier was a light carrier fielded by the Mirak Star League. Carriers were painted blue/purple whereas cruisers were painted orange/brown. However, these carriers were phased out of service by the 2380s since they had a limited capacity to carry attack fighters and lacked the multi-vector mode. For these reasons, assault carriers were preferred instead.

abstract
  • The Mirak carrier was a light carrier fielded by the Mirak Star League. Carriers were painted blue/purple whereas cruisers were painted orange/brown. However, these carriers were phased out of service by the 2380s since they had a limited capacity to carry attack fighters and lacked the multi-vector mode. For these reasons, assault carriers were preferred instead. Three carriers saw service during Operation Telenoes and were among the last ships of that class. They could only carry 9 fighters unlike its larger cousin who could carry 80. All three starships of this class that served during Operation Telenoes were destroyed: the first one by beaming in an armed quantum torpedo, the second by phased plasma torpedo fire and the last one was lost at the hands of the Federation.
