Swift and his family were among the lucky few to escape Harvest, but he remembered that day for the rest of his life. Several years later, he joined the Marines to aid in the fight for Harvest as a part of Battlegroup 4. He served on board the CMA Hercales, but noticed how ineffective the destroyer's rounds were against the Covenant ships. From that day on, he thought deeply about that. The one weapon he noticed as being the most effective was the sniper rifle. Swift became an officer and retired. He devoted the rest of his life to making custom sniper parts, and founded a company called Swift Sniper Modifications (SSM). He made his first production rifle, the SRS406 Anti-Materiel Rifle, in 2559, at the age of 70. He died on Earth on January 22nd, 2583, of natural causes.
