Abrams' Alias, and the UPN series Seven Days, Special Unit 2, and Everybody Hates Chris. The Motion Picture Sound Editors society nominated Dyer for Golden Reel Awards for his work on Seven Days (2001) and Everybody Hates Chris (2006). Dyer worked with his fellow Star Trek sound crew members on numerous non-Trek film and television projects. Some of their films include 1990's Ski Patrol, 1993's Joshua Tree, the 1994 TV thriller Running Delilah (starring Kim Cattrall), 1997's The Only Thrill, and 1998's Family Plan. Some of Dyer's more recent credits include the 2005 TV movies Mysterious Island (starring Patrick Stewart) and The Poseidon Adventure (starring Peter Weller), for which he was the ADR (automated dialogue replacement) Supervisor. More recently, Dyer worked as sound supervisor on the crime series NCIS: Los Angeles (2009-2011).
