| - The simulated reality is juxtaposed with the Real World. It exists as a simulation for the humans where the Matrix creates the sensory perception that is indistinguishable for those connected to it. The Bluepills essentially power the simulation. Redpills can potentially create an algorithmic anomaly that could create a system crash and kill everyone inside. Scenes in the Animatrix show how machines needed a new energy source. The humans provides energy in a form of fusion, while the Matrix keep their minds under control.
- Simulated reality is the hypotheses that we leave in a computer simulation, that is, this universe is a program. It can be a stand-alone self-conscious program or a program with a creator (God). There is an hypotheses that scientists have not been able to test. Some think that the uncertainty principle and the quantum quality of the universe could be the "rules" or constraints the program imposes. It also has some constants, like the speed of light.
- Simulated reality is the proposition that reality could be simulated—perhaps by computer simulation—to a degree indistinguishable from "true" reality. It could contain conscious minds which may or may not know that they are living inside a simulation. In its strongest form, the "simulation hypothesis" claims it is possible and even probable that we are actually living in such a simulation. The idea of a simulated reality raises several questions:
- Some topics discussed in the simulated reality: The simulation can not be touched. when the owner stop the simulation, everything in the simulation stop (no stopping perceptions from the intelligent agents). some agents know (can/will prove it) they are in the simulation. there is some topics related to death and the simulation. some people argue we don't know we are already dead or already immortal. the simulation could be used to see the past or predict the future (time machine). the intelligent agents could start their own simulation (faster or slower).

This is different from the current, technologically achievable concept of virtual reality. Virtual reality is easily distinguished from the experience of "true" reality; participants are never in doubt about the nature of what they experience. Simulated reality, by contrast, would be hard or impossible to distinguish from "true" reality. The idea of a simulated reality raises several questions:
* Is it possible, even in principle, to tell whether we are in a simulated reality?
* Is there any difference between a simulated reality and a "real" one?
* How should we behave if we knew that we were living in a simulated reality?
- Some topics discussed in the simulated reality: The simulation can not be touched. when the owner stop the simulation, everything in the simulation stop (no stopping perceptions from the intelligent agents). some agents know (can/will prove it) they are in the simulation. there is some topics related to death and the simulation. some people argue we don't know we are already dead or already immortal. the simulation could be used to see the past or predict the future (time machine). the intelligent agents could start their own simulation (faster or slower). we might be in several simulations already, the highers are slower or faster, the lowers are slower or faster. the simulation might be used for only one person, none or all or few. the simulation might cease after the human era. the simulation we are in, might cease when we ourselves create the same simulation, reaching the similar point.
