- It is found by following the mud footpath which goes in a generally eastern direction from Rellekka, and is marked by tree symbol on the minimap. An unusual "jingling" sound can be heard when standing near the tree. It is also surrounded by eight bunnies who are "guarding" some Doogle leaves that spawn right next to this tree. Each branch cut gives 1 Woodcutting experience.
- It is located right at the Rare trees icon southeast of Rellekka, or northwest of the Golden Apple Tree. It is surrounded by doogle leaves and Bunnies.
- The Swaying tree is used in The Fremennik Trials quest to make a lyre. The player must first cut a branch from the tree using a hatchet, with level 40 woodcutting and then use a knife on it to make an unstrung lyre.
