Pac-Man Battle Royale is the 17th arcade game of the Pac-Man series. It is made as part of Pac-Man's 30th Anniversary. The game was developed by Namco Bandai Games. Battle Royale will feature a 4-player mode, with the Pac-Man character available in four different colors. The game can be set to either three or five rounds and in each round the players must eat the other Pac-Men on the board to advance. The game shares similar graphics to that of Pac-Man Championship Edition. Battle Royale was first playable to the public at the 2010 Amusement Expo show in Las Vegas. It was then seen again at an after-party event during E3, where Namco America brought two cabinets for attendees to play. Namco also took the unusual step of throwing a party prior to the launch of the game at the Whiskey River

Namco also took the unusual step of throwing a party prior to the launch of the game at the Whiskey River Saloon in Madison, WI. While the game was reported for a release in September 2010, it was delayed for unknown reasons until late November 2010. The game would eventually get released early the following year in arcades, and a follow-up port to iOS devices was released for free. The later version lacks several features that the arcade version has.
