Personality: Daniel has somewhat of a one track mind - Judean independence at all costs. He is not above using anyone or anything to further that cause. He is highly repected among the common Judeans for his devotion to a restored, independent nation not beholden to anyone. He is religious in that he believes in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel but does not let "religious restrictions" get in the way of the perceived "greater good." He is quite adept at disappearing into a crowd so when he uses violence to further his cause he usually manages to escape apprehension. Armour: N/A Due to his lack of armour he relies on stealth. Clothing: Typical of a Judean peasant History: Daniel was born near Paneas (a.k.a. Banyas) into a common Judean family that have been fishermen for generations. His father Moshe BenAvshalom and his mother Miriam were also devout in their beliefs and prayed every day for the deliverance of Judea. They would always tell young Daniel of the nation's former greatness and of prophecies of a comming deliverer. When Daniel was five years old his mother died while giving birth to his brother Levi. While his father lived they would get into disagreements as to whether the God of Israel expected them to do anything to bring about their own deliverance. Out of respect for his father, Daniel only "talked the talk" but never did anything. However, once Moshe died Daniel decided it was time to stop waiting and start doing something. Now Daniel is a revolutionary struggling for the independence of Judea from both the Ptolemaic and Antigonid empires. Siblings: One living brother (Levi) but they do not see eye to eye since Levi closely adheres to the same beliefs as his father and considers Daniel to have turned from the Abrahamic faith. Marital Status: Single - he believes he will die in service to his cause. He doesn't want to put a wife at risk when he is being hunted down - or risk having her betray him to his enemies.
