Despite often bragging about his huge intellect, the Lobe has sometimes shown what appears to be a lack of self-confidence; this is especially evident in the episode "The Cloud" in which Freakazoid manages to defeat him just by pointing out how stupid his plan is, causing the Lobe to go away depressed and apologizing. After he's gone, Freakazoid admits to the audience that the plan was brilliant. Like all Freakazoid characters, the Lobe breaks the fourth wall quite frequently. In "The Island of Dr. Mystico" he expresses a strong desire to become the main character of the show, but wanders if he would be able to withstand the pressur e
