| - Mi cumpleaños fue hace un par de semanas y tengo que decir que fue un grande. Tengo una cantidad ridícula de regalos de mi familia y mis amigos no escatiman en los regalos tampoco. Acabé la compensación total de alrededor de $ 400 en efectivo y una buena $ 150 en tarjetas de regalo . Encontré esta especialmente agradable , ya que normalmente no soy de los que tienen una gran cantidad de exceso de dinero , pero cuando lo tengo , estoy por lo general en una pérdida de cómo gastarlo . Después de consultar con mis amigos en cuanto a lo que sería el mejor curso de acción me decidí a comprar un Nintendo Wii. Nunca he estado muy interesado en los videojuegos, pero después de jugar unas cuantas rondas de Wii Sports en la casa de mi amigo me enganché . Pasé un buen 4 horas recorriendo la Internet para el mejor reparto (no es que yo no tenía dinero de sobra en ese punto) , cuando me encontré con un anuncio de eBay para una Nintendo Wii ligeramente usado por sólo $ 100 . El vendedor no enumeró demasiados detalles en cuanto a la condición de la consola, pero es que subo fotos y se veían bastante bien. Yo estaba un poco vacilante comprar la Wii como el vendedor era una nueva cuenta y no tenía ninguna retroalimentación para irse de en cuanto a su fiabilidad, pero pensé que le daría una oportunidad de todos modos . Cuando el Wii llegó la noté algo extraño en la caja. Parecía tener el moho que crece desde las esquinas de la misma, haciendo que reek a ningún extremo. Hice caso esto como yo estaba emocionado de jugar mi nueva consola , por lo que me apresuré a abrir la caja y puse en la Wii. Al principio no estaba seguro de qué hacer , cuando encendí la Wii había un montón de cosas a la izquierda detrás del dueño anterior . Chico que estaba de suerte, resulta que él había comprado un montón de juegos en el mercado virtual . A mi disposición era la historia de Yoshi, Super Mario 64 , Mario Kart , Legend of Zelda , Super Mario World y un montón de otros clásicos . Yo estaba en el cielo . He jugado a los juegos para un buen 6 horas seguidas (lo sé , no hay vida ) hasta que finalmente me cansé y me fui a la cama. Cuando me desperté por la mañana decidí que iba a mirar a través de todos los canales de la Wii para ver qué tipo de diversión que podía tener. Para no perder la oportunidad de una experiencia potencialmente divertido decidí echarle un vistazo y ver qué juego se trataba. Cuando hice clic en el icono me llevaron a una pantalla gris con la frase " perseveró " (que los medios se enteraron más tarde continúo en latín) en texto rojo . Sin saber lo que significaba, decidí que iba a seleccionar de todos modos. Al seleccionarlo , me llevaron a un menú con 4 símbolos en ella . Cada símbolo tiene una especie de mirada amenazante a la misma. Realmente no sé por qué, pero no eran más que inquietante. Una vez más, la curiosidad pudo más que yo, y me decidí a hacer clic en algunos de ellos. El primer símbolo que hice clic fue una línea vertical con un círculo que lo atraviesa, por debajo de una X. Cuando hice clic en el símbolo , me llevaron a un mundo virtual muy similar a la mía. Era como si la disposición general de la ciudad era un calco de la mía, pero estoy divagando . El juego era como ninguna que hubiera visto antes. Era un juego de primera persona, pero no había realmente ningún objetivo . Usted empezó en una casa (una que lleva una semejanza notable a la mía ) y que eras libre para vagar alrededor . Pasé un buen 3 horas caminando por el mundo virtual cuando decidí que iba a ver exactamente qué tan cerca este mundo de juego paralelo mía. Fue verdaderamente notable. Todo parecía casi exactamente el mismo . Después de 2 horas de vagar alrededor me ha arrancado en el menú con los símbolos , sólo que ahora sólo había tres . Miré el reloj y vi que se estaba haciendo tarde, así que decidí que iba a llamar a una noche y la cabeza a la cama. A la mañana siguiente estaba ansioso por jugar los próximos tres símbolos del juego misterioso que había encontrado , así que rápidamente se convirtió en mi Wii y puso en marcha el canal. Una vez más me trajeron al menú con ahora tres símbolos. El segundo símbolo era una cruz al revés con un triángulo que va de los brazos a la parte inferior de la misma. He escogido este símbolo. El juego me llevaron a era esencialmente el mismo que el de ayer sólo ahora había gente . Ellos realmente no tienen funciones para que pareciera que había un grupo de maniquíes de caminar por la ciudad . He explorado la ciudad un poco más antes de ser arrancado de nuevo al menú de símbolos. Seguí haga clic en el siguiente símbolo , que era simplemente un cuadrado dentro de un círculo . El juego me llevaron a este tiempo fue un poco desagradable . El mundo estaba en parecía ser más triste y los personajes se movía más lentamente . Tras una exploración más profunda de la ciudad me di cuenta de que había objetos al azar por ahí que podría interactuar con la mayoría de los cuales parecían cuchillos. Decidí que interactuar con uno de los cuchillos para ver lo que podía hacer, y por supuesto, una de las opciones era matar a un par de ciudadanos - maniquí esque de lo que parecía ser mi ciudad. Como sádico como suena , en realidad era bastante entretenido . Cuando mataste a una persona que se deje caer al suelo y retorcerse de dolor , hasta que , finalmente, sólo se desvanecieron. Fue extraño ... satisfactorio . Después de unos 20 minutos de matar a civiles al azar me ha arrancado en el menú de símbolos de nuevo. En ese momento se estaba haciendo tarde y me decidí a dormir un poco , y eso me ponía alrededor para el último símbolo de la mañana. La noche transcurrió con relativa rapidez y me despertó con un olor extraño en mi casa. Supuse que me había olvidado de sacar la basura y siguió adelante con mi mañana. Encendí mi Wii y una vez más me cargué el canal , cuando lo hice me trajeron de nuevo al menú de símbolos. El último símbolo restante fue simple X. He hecho clic en él. Me llevaron de vuelta al mismo mundo del juego que estaba antes solo que ahora , todo se tiñó de un rojo oscuro, y yo empecé con el cuchillo en la mano . Supuse que yo sabía lo que había que hacer . Corrí alrededor apuñalar incontables ciudadanos de esta ciudad virtual para lo que parecía ser un buen 5 horas cuando me arranqué al menú. Era en blanco. Estaba relativamente decepcionado por un final tan sordo a lo que parecía ser un juego tan interesante. Decidí que me dirijo a la cama para una siesta hasta 5 horas seguidas de juego fue bastante agotador tener que mayal mis brazos como si apuñalar por tanto tiempo. Mientras dormía tuve un sueño muy raro. Yo estaba solo en una habitación negro que sostiene más que un cuchillo, y otro hombre entró y tenía una herida de bala distinta en la frente y que llegó a su mano hacia mí . Me quedé mirándolo sin saber lo que estaba sucediendo . Con una voz casi demonio - como muy distorsionada repitió " Felicitaciones, usted se hacen ahora . " para el resto del sueño . Al despertar me di cuenta del hedor de más temprano en la mañana se había vuelto mucho más fuerte , así que decidí rociar un poco de ambientador y conseguir algo de comer. Mientras que comer revisé mi correo electrónico y me di cuenta de un mensaje del vendedor de eBay que me había vendido el Wii. Decía " Felicidades , ya está resuelto ahora . Sinceramente -Arnold Vonmarshall " . Esta descolocada una cantidad enorme ya que eran las palabras exactas que me dijo en mi sueño. Sacudí apagado como una coincidencia y continué con mi día. El hedor que había olido antes ahora era agobiante , así que decidí que iba a echar un vistazo alrededor para ver lo que estaba causando. Miré casi toda mi casa antes de que me di cuenta de que venía del sótano. Abrí la puerta y bajé las escaleras para encontrar una pila. Una pila de cadáveres. Me quedé horrorizado . Me miré en el terror absoluto antes de correr escaleras arriba y tratando de dar sentido a todo. Después de una hora o dos de mirar aterrorizado en la pared me decidí a volver a bajar y tratar de ver las cosas. Lentamente abrí la puerta y bajé hacia el montón cuando me di cuenta de algo clavado en la escalera. Fue una impresión de una etiqueta de envío por alguna dirección en Houston. La dirección del remitente era un Vonmarshall Arnold. Inmediatamente corrí escaleras arriba y busqué su nombre en Google . Resultó Arnold Vonmarshall había matado a 23 personas en una pequeña ciudad alemana antes de suicidarse. Su obituario dice que murió hace cuatro meses. Justo después de haber leído este escuché una explosión en la puerta. Era la policía.
- My birthday was a few weeks ago and I have to say it was a great one. I got a ridiculous amount of presents from my family and my friends didn't skimp on the gifts either. I wound up netting around $400 total in cash and a good $150 in gift cards. I found this especially nice as I'm usually not one to have a lot of excess money but when I do have it, I'm usually at a loss for how to spend it. After consulting with my friends as to what would be the best course of action I decided to purchase a Nintendo Wii. I've never really been terribly interested in video games, but after playing a few rounds of Wii Sports at my friend's house I was hooked. I spent a good four hours scouring the internet for the best deal (not that I didn't have money to spare at that point) when I found an eBay listing for a lightly used Nintendo Wii for only $100. The seller didn't list too many details as to the condition of the console but he uploaded pictures and they looked well enough. I was slightly hesitant to buy the Wii as the seller was a new account and didn't have any feedback to go off of as far as his reliability, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. When the Wii arrived the I noticed something peculiar about the box. It seemed to have mold growing from the corners of it, causing it to reek to no end. I disregarded this as I was excited to play my new console, so I hurriedly opened the box and hooked up the Wii. At first I was unsure of what to do, when I turned on the Wii there was a whole bunch of stuff left behind from the previous owner. Boy was I lucky, it turns out he had purchased a ton of games from the virtual marketplace. At my disposal was Yoshi's Story, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart, Legend of Zelda, Super Mario World and a bunch of other classics. I was in heaven. I played the games for a good six hours straight (I know, no life) until I eventually got tired and went to bed. When I woke up in the morning I decided I would look through all of the channels on the Wii to see what kind of fun I could have. Most of the channels were virtual marketplace games up until the last page where there was just one icon. It looked as if there was some sort of problem with the image for the Channel as it was just a static box. Not to miss out on a potentially fun experience I decided I would check it out and see what game it was. When I clicked the icon I was brought to a grey screen with the phrase "persevero" (which I later learned means continue in Latin) in red text. Not knowing what it meant, I decided I would select it anyway. Upon selecting it I was taken to a menu with four symbols on it. Each symbol had a sort of menacing look to it. I don't really know why but they were just unsettling. Once again curiosity got the better of me, and I decided to click on some of them. The first symbol I clicked was a vertical line with a circle running through it, underneath an X. When I clicked the symbol I was taken to a virtual world very similar to my own. It was as if the general layout of the city was a carbon copy of mine, but I digress. The game was like none I had seen before. It was a first person game, but there was really no objective. You started out in a house (one bearing a remarkable resemblance to mine) and you were just free to roam about. I spent a good three hours walking about the virtual world when I decided I would see exactly how close this game world paralleled mine. It was truly remarkable. Everything seemed almost exactly the same. After another two hours of wandering around I was booted back to the menu with the symbols, only now there were only three. I checked my clock and I saw it was getting late so I decided I would call it a night and head off to bed. The next morning I was eager to play out the next three symbols of the mysterious game I had found so I quickly turned on my Wii and launched the channel. I once again was brought to the menu with now three symbols. The second symbol was an upside down cross with a triangle going from the arms to the bottom of it. I selected this symbol. The game I was taken to was essentially the same as yesterday's only now there were people. They didn't really have any features so it looked like there were a bunch of mannequins walking about the town. I explored the town some more before being booted again to the symbol menu. I continued to click the next symbol which was just a square inside of a circle. The game I was taken to this time was slightly off putting. The world I was in seemed to be drearier and the characters moved more sluggishly. Upon further exploration of the town I noticed there were random objects lying around you could interact with most of which seemed to be knives. I decided I would interact with one of the knives to see what I could do, and of course one of the options was to kill a few mannequin-esque citizens of what seemed to be my town. As sadistic as it sounds, it was actually pretty entertaining. When you killed a person they would drop to the ground and writhe in pain until they finally just vanished. It was strangely... satisfying. After around twenty minutes of killing random civilians I was booted back to the symbol menu again. By this time it was getting late and I decided to get some sleep, and that I'd get around to the last symbol in the morning. The night went by relatively quickly and I awoke to a strange odor in my house. I assumed I had forgotten to take out the trash and continued on with my morning. I turned on my Wii and I once again loaded the channel, when I did I was brought again to the symbol menu. The last remaining symbol was a simple X. I clicked it. I was taken back to the same game world I was in before only now, everything was tinted a dark red, and I started with the knife in my hand. I assumed I knew what had to be done. I ran around stabbing countless citizens of this virtual town for what seemed like a good five hours when I was booted to the menu. It was blank. I was relatively disappointed at such a dull ending to what seemed to be such an interesting game. I decided I would head off to bed for a nap as 5 hours straight of game play was rather tiring having to flail my arms as if stabbing for so long. While asleep I had a very weird dream. I was alone in a black room holding nothing but a knife, and another man came in. He had a distinct gunshot wound on his forehead and he reached his hand out to me. I stood staring back at him not knowing what was happening. In a very distorted almost demon-like voice he repeated, "Congratulations, you are done now." for the remainder of the dream. Upon waking I noticed the stench from earlier in the morning had gotten much stronger so I decided to spray some air freshener and get some lunch. While eating I checked my email and noticed a message from the eBay seller who had sold me the Wii. It read "Congratulations, you are done now. Sincerely -Arnold Vonmarshall". This creeped me out a huge amount as these were the exact words said to me in my dream. I shook it off as a coincidence and continued with my day. The stench I had smelled earlier was now overbearing so I decided I would take a look around to see what was causing it. I looked just about all over my house before I realized it was coming from the basement. I opened the door and walked down the stairs to find a pile. A pile of dead bodies. I was horrified. I looked in absolute terror before running upstairs and trying to make sense of everything. After a good hour or two of staring terrified at the wall I decided to go back down and try and see things through. I slowly opened the door and walked down towards the pile when I noticed something pinned to the stairs. It was a print out of a shipping label for some address in Houston. The return address was to an Arnold Vonmarshall. I immediately ran upstairs and searched his name on Google. It turned out Arnold Vonmarshall had killed twenty-three people in a small German town before killing himself. His obituary said he died four months ago. Just after having read this I heard a bang at the door. It was the police.
