Charles Poulin (born July 27, 1972 in St-Jean D'Lveri, Quebec) is a former ice hockey player who was awarded the CHL Player of the Year award as a member of the St-Hyacinthe Laser of the QMJHL, but never played in the NHL. As of 2006 he is the only player so honoured who has retired never to have played in the NHL, with the exception of Dave Simpson, who quit hockey to concentrate on schooling. Poulin played for the Fredericton Canadiens of the American Hockey League and Quebec Rafales of the International Hockey League, as well as a number of other teams in North America and Europe. He retired from hockey in 2004.
