After Black shouts his vows, they notice a lack of people around them, causing them to realize that there is something strange afoot. Following Black and his Munna's instincts, they attack the nearby lighthouse and find Team Plasma grunts hiding. The grunts reveal that their Gothitelle's Hypnosis has been keeping people away from Liberty Garden while they fight Victini, who has been refusing their "liberation." Black attacks the grunt and defeats him with the exhausted Victini's help. The grunts flee, promising revenge. Black calls Professor Juniper and reports on what happened. When Black finishes the call, White asks him why he didn't capture Victini and thus ensure his victory against the Pokémon League; Black responds that maybe he will, later, when he is stronger, so that he will not rely on Victini's power right from the start.
