Dr Michael Gelles was chief psychologist for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. He advised JTF-160 at Guantanamo. He told Alberto Mora that detainees were being abused at Guantanamo. According to Eban, he was "at the forefront of trying to stop coercive interrogations at Guantánamo"
