| - Sleeping Fist is a form of taijutsu which can only be utilised when the user is asleep. The style was inspired by an individual who was punching the air in his sleep, which led to a more complex fighting style characterised by seemingly less responsive movements combined with enhanced strength. The benefit behind Sleeping Fist is that the awake mind holds back an individual's full strength, so by fighting in your sleep, the brain doesn't stop an individual from exhibiting above average strength and prevents the user from hesitating to wield that strength, making the style seem brutal. Being asleep also allows the body to take less damage from hits and falls as the mind is asleep, meaning that it doesn't cause the body to tense up, which is what causes most of the damage from impacts. Despite seeming silly in nature, Sleeping Fist requires severe training as an individual must train themselves to not wake up even if they're being beaten up. They must also learn to control their body while asleep, maintaining control by moving inside of their dreams. Those training in this style also need to fight based on instinct and to be able to sense chakra in order to make sure that they do not end up hurting someone other than their opponent. Because of the difficult training, students start training at the young age of 5 and spend most of their early lives mastering the complex style. An advantage of the style is that the user is completely immune to visual genjutsu, allowing the user to be able to take down genjutsu users with ease, though a large disadvantage is that the user cannot use any ninjitsu while in this state as the user's mind would not be able to focus properly in order to use a successful technique.
