It was located in deep space to keep the location secret and only the most influential individuals within the CSA and the Empire knew where it was located. Jorzan Prison was best known as the location Reng Kasr was secretly sent to after his trial. He remained there for twelve years and in that time was able to unofficially run the place. In 9 ABY he decided to escape and contacted Dolomar Daktren to pick him up before engineering his prison break. While Daktren dealt with the prison’s escort ships, Kasr freed himself and then destroyed the prison by remotely overloading the station's reactor once he was safely onboard Daktren’s ship, killing all the other prisoners to cover his escape.
