The Hendrickson was a heavy cruiser in Andre Warnecke's "privateer" squadron. Named after one of the systems in the Chalice Cluster, the ship participated in the defense of the Cluster against the Silesian Confederacy's attempts to crush the separatist uprising led by Andre Warnecke. When the Silesians ultimately conquered the Cluster, Hendrickson and a number of ships fled with Warnecke and a number of his followers into exile, where they would engage in piratical activities against the Confederacy and other nations in a quest to "return" to the Cluster.

In 1909 PD, Hendrickson and the other three cruisers in Warnecke's fleet orbited the planet Sidemore, which had been captured by the pirates to serve as their base of operations, and was promptly destroyed by the Manticoran Q-ship HMAMC Wayfarer.
