Superwari, a mancala game, was invented in 2004 by Bill Taylor, a mathematician at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. He is well-known in some online Oware communities by his nickname "kiwibill". Bill Taylor is currently one of the strongest Wari players on Richard's PBeM Server, and he is also an excellent Go player. Superwari has, in his view, more strategic structure, as regular Oware.
