Since gnomes only used discblades as tools, it was when humankind got their hands on proper discblade schematics that the tool saw its first application as a weapon. On a full attack action, a discblade's attacks are cumulative. The damage of all successful attacks is added together and resolved as if it were a single attack, making the discblade extremely effective against creatures with high damage reduction.
