Borden's role as a combat training area declined after 1970, but the base is home to much of the Canadian military's trade and technical training. Establishments include the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering, Canadian Forces Military Police Academy, Canadian Forces Health Services Training Centre, Canadian Forces School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering and the Canadian Forces Language School.
