Opponents do not compensate for this. This means that any short opponent, such as the Cannibals and Sung Bu in the Arena, cannot strike the Player. It works well against some weapon-wielders too, although not against spear or longsword wielding opponents, who comprise the vast majority of armed enemies. Further, it can be used against the rare opponent who also uses Leaping Tiger: when they use the power attack, do the same. They go up, you go up, they come down and miss, you come down on top of them.
