Diggs is let out of the mental hospital and reunites with Bart. Bart and Diggs become friends again but Bart fears he is still crazy about birds. Bart's fears become realized when Diggs gets Bart involved in a plot the free a group of falcons that is being delivered by Cletus Spuckler to a slaughterhouse. Bart at first does not want to help but he gives in when it is discovered Freedom is one of the birds being sent to the slaughterhouse. It turns out Mr.Burns owns the slaughterhouse and captures Bart but Diggs frees him and takes his place. Diggs is sent back to the mental hospital and the birds fly free.
