Military applications would long be studied but not acted on for 200 years. 1920(1167)-1929(1176) Because of Ioannes Ostedes Paenula’s discovery, aluminium products experienced a massive growth in popularity, exasperated by competition between wealthy collectors of aluminium. The trading markets were also manipulated by Abadsetors and this development brought about what was to become known for all time and similar situations as Argentium Dementis. At the dementis’ height in late 1928, the price of aluminum had risen by over 10,000% since 1917(1160), and it had already been more valuable than gold! This economic bubble was apparent at an early point, and the Senate had enacted a law in 1920(1167) to lower prices and restrict who could sell it, but it failed to be effective. It was not long before prospectors were over estimating aluminium veins, smelters were backlogging their casting queues, and warehouses claimed products yet to be received as products in stock. On February 29, 1929, the Abadsetors couldn’t seem to raise their prices any further, and a wave of sales crashed in. The bubble burst and panic ensued. Now traders had huge, nearly worthless piles of aluminum products; and buyers had contracts demanding they pay for those products at inflated values that did not exist for them on the open market. A mild economic depression world-wide (but concentrated in Europe and Asia) followed for five years. It was lucky that the bubble had centered on an actual physical thing, rather than perhaps on something more intangible like money itself. Later, economic reforms to help guard the economy from such crazy situations were ratified. 1921(1168) the Bambotus kingdom, centralised on the Bambotus (Senegal) River, was defeated with only 14 centuries (1400 centurions). The area became an important slave exporting region. Also this year, the bulk of Suong Sinica surrendered to the Nanchao. The Nanchao then started attacks on the Tuban Kingdoms and the Jurchen. Reconstruction of the gained lands are aided by Rome, Vaposcurr rails solidified trade and troop deployment. 1922(1169) Cappadocia joined the Senate. 1923-7(1170-4) With the horrendous cheapening of conquest, even private citizens were capable of expanding territory in the name of the Empire as long it wasn’t against allies and nations with peace agreements. Tiberius Piscius Licinianus of Britannia defeated the Ashanti of western Africa after their new king refused to defer to Rome for recognition of his ascension. The Ahanti were one of the most powerful kingdoms on an ever shrinking list. This was done with just one unofficial legion and 500 auxilia armed with rifa, canna, and mechanator pilium. 1925(1172) An Africa Australis ADA developed the Fistinsurpulsor. Attached to extrudotrusi crankshaft through chains or belts and running at about thirty times the engine's RPM, the device significantly increases an engine's power while consuming up to 20% of its engine RPM. 1928(1175) With the Nanchao’s increasing momentum, the Nihonians attempted to repair relations with the Jurchen Sinicans. Unfortunately these meet with only a peace treaty. Nihonia increased it territory in northwest Terranova, calling the region Nupiatica. They also continued to expand in South Terranova and caused many colonial border skirmishes with Rome’s provinces of Garania, Amazonayas, and Vuditania. Nihonia also made landings on continental Ulterior Australis and began disputing Roman lands claims, forcing the resettlement or disappearing of Roman frontiersmen. Also this year, A Sicilian ADA developed the pharmacological medication Diamo-diexinxla sulpfinxla-dicarbo otherwise known as Diasu. As part of a multi-drug treatment, leprosy has become curable for the next ten years at which point it would become resistant, requiring new drugs. 1929(1176) The Tasad kingdom to Nigeria’s northeast had equipped itself with over 2500 pilium for its 12 000 warriors. They invaded Nigeria but just three centuries were able to defeat their force. What remained of the kingdom was taken over by the Owadai, another African kingdom. 1930(1177) Pieces of bones of a massive lizard were unearthed in a Britannia Sup. Αsbestos quarry. African colonies were always expanding and under attack (even Senatorial Aegyptus on occasion), each time, Rome’s offensive strategies with defensive tactics always ensured victory until 1930-8(1177-85) when Samouri Torr founded a powerful empire far upriver of the Niger. His main strategy was a guerrilla war. Unlike other African rebels he was able to build up an arms industry for the army, the blacksmiths having been taught by unpatriotic merchants and supplies coming from similar disloyalists in North Africa. Within a few years his 350 blacksmiths were producing 12 decent pilium-type weapons a week, and 250 bullets a day. His attacks liberated the Bambotus in 1932(1179) and Masaesylia (the Ashanti territories) in 1933(1179) from Roman influence but when his secret suppliers in Libya and Mauretania Caesariensis were eventually found and executed, his Empire eventually crumbled and he was assassinated in 1939(1186). Unfortunately, this guerrilla-type war was extremely effective and attritioning. The once again independent kingdoms in Bambotus and Masaesylia fully took part in these tactics and independent Roman re-conquests of the provinces proved much too expensive to bother with over the long term. These tactics spread throughout Africa. Because Roman officers were so used to Africans massing themselves and charging into Rome’s bullets, counteracting attacks from all sides while not even on a proper battle field was very difficult for them to face. 1930's(1177+) Lotos Mathematica, first developed in the 1700's, had begun to find practical use in virtually all fields: Geometry could now calculate natural shapes more accurately, eye movements and scanning patterns could be analysed to better arrange and design things for better observation, and natural base system networks (the relation between mass and energy) became realised. All natural networks were found to be 'Lotos' patterns following and it would later be found that DNA used it as it was the most efficient pattern for generating autonomous small systems. Later, Lotos Math would aid in medical treatments such as calculating heartbeat patterns to detect abnormal flow and making geometric math models of blood vessels to locate mobile tumour tissue. There were also several breakthroughs made on understanding Carico’s ancient mathematics, aiding development in vapos technology. In 1932(1179) the first pressure cooker was invented. It made it faster and cheaper to cook food but its earlier forms had a slight tendency to explode because people didn’t read the instructions on keeping the release valves clean and unimpeded. 1934(1181) Judea was voted into the Senate. Nihhon and Sinican astronomers observed a supernovae in the Cassiopeia constellation (Roman name). They did not know exactly what it was, but it was an intriguing sight. Nihhon also suffered a substantial crop failure due to poor weather in the Home Islands and had to invest and import more from colony farms. 1938(1185), the first telelexy, an electricus pulse transmitted on a copper wire and reformatted into a signal tone was demonstrated to the Senate. It will revolutionize communication in a way not seen in almost two millennia. The ‘electricus language’ was called Faustus code after its inventor Titus Vesuvius Faustinianus from Calusa. In response to all the patents that need the Senate’s stamp and the amount of time it eats up, the Senate formed the Magistratus Ingenium (Invention Ministry) as an adjunct to the ADA, dealing with independent inventors; distributing subsidies, patents, and such.
