"Together Wherever We Go," from Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim's musical Gypsy, is a trio sung by a mother trying to hold her small, dysfunctional family together through sheer willpower. Ethel Merman, who originally sang "Together Wherever We Go" on Broadway, performed an excerpt with the Two-Headed Singer as part of a medley of songs from her career on episode 122 of The Muppet Show. Merman later performed the song with Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear on a 1977 appearance on Dinah!
